Delete your Yenlio account or data

Request account deletion, cancel it within 30 days, or ask us to delete specific personal data.

Yenlio gives you control over your account and personal information.

Delete your Yenlio account in the app

You can request account deletion directly from Yenlio:

Profile → Delete account

Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your request. When you request deletion:

Your Yenlio account is archived.
You are signed out.
You have a 30-day reactivation period.
Signing back into Yenlio during those 30 days cancels the deletion request.
After the 30-day period, your login and personal contact information is permanently erased.

Can't access your account?

If you cannot access Yenlio but would like your account deleted, email privacy@yenlio.app.

Please contact us from the email address associated with your Yenlio account where possible. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.

Request deletion of specific personal data

You can also ask for specific personal information to be deleted without deleting your entire Yenlio account. Email privacy@yenlio.app and explain what information you would like us to review or delete.

If your request relates to information held about a child by their nursery, pre-school or childminder, the childcare setting is normally the data controller for those records. You should contact the setting directly, and Yenlio will support them where required.

Information that may need to be retained

Some childcare records cannot always be deleted immediately because the relevant childcare setting may be legally required to retain them. This can include records such as:

Accident and incident records
Medication records
Safeguarding or statutory childcare records
Payment and compliance records where retention is legally required

Where these records belong to a childcare setting, the setting remains responsible for deciding how long they must be retained.

Deleting your Yenlio account still removes your login and personal contact information after the 30-day deletion period, subject to any information that must legally be retained.
